For Immediate Release "Radio Vida" Expands to Saturday & SundayJanuary 1, 2004 -- "Radio Vida" (Life Radio) is Sold Out Monday-Friday and is expanding to Saturday and Sunday on Crawford's KKPZ 1330 AM. Radio Vida is the only daily Christian Hispanic programming in the Greater Portland / Vancouver metro area. This specialized programming (Monday - Friday from 6-10pm) was established on September 1, 2003 and begins at 6pm with the best in Christian Hispanic music from local and national Christian Artists, followed at 6:15pm with "Conceptos Financieros" (Larry Burkett's daily "Financial Concepts" radio program), followed by more great music. At 6:30pm, they feature a national radio program (i.e. "En Contacto" with Dr Charles Stanley, "Cruzada con Luis Palau", "Esperanza Para Hoy" with David Hocking, etc.). From 7-8pm, they feature a different local Hispanic church or ministry each evening, followed by more music from 8-8:30pm, another national program sample from 8:30-9pm, and even more local church or ministry programs from 9-10pm. In just four months, all 20 of their weekly local programming avails were completely sold out, wherein they have decided to expand this specialized programming to Saturday and Sunday evening in the same format from 6pm-10pm of music, national programs and local church and ministry programs. Crawford Broadcasting contracted with Felix Rosales (360-513-5530) of the Northwest Theological Institute to facilitate programming sales and hired Angel Bongiorno, former Spanish Ministry Director for the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association and former Board Member for the Hispanic National Religious Broadcasters Association, to be the Director, Host and Voice of "Radio Vida." James Autry, Station Manager for KKPZ states, "Ultimately, we want to launch a completely new radio station (24/7) for our Hispanic community, but that's going to take a great deal of partnership from throughout our community between businesses, churches and ministries (both Hispanic and non). The exciting thing is that in just a few months, our local Hispanic community has embraced our programming and are supporting our ministry partners with their listenership, prayers and tangible response. We believe that God is at work here and that He has something very wonderful planned for our entire community because of what He is doing in this part of the local church. We expect to see a revival not only in the Hispanic community, but in every ethnic group in our region."
