For Immediate Release KKSL 1290 AM Radio Merges into K-Praise 1330 AMJanuary 5, 2006 -- For more than 10 years, Crawford Broadcasting has provided national and local radio programming for Evangelical Christians throughout the greater Portland / Vancouver metro area on both KKSL 1290 AM and KKPZ 1330 AM (K-Praise). KKSL, "The Prophetic Voice of the Northwest!" programmed "Offensive Line Training" for believers focusing on what God is saying to His Church for these Last Days and to encourage them to "Prepare the Way of the Lord" by living in the power of the Holy Spirit rather than in fear. KKPZ, "The Voice of Reconciliation!" programmed "Defensive Line Training" for believers focusing on what God, the Father, has provided for them in His Son, Jesus (Yeshua), the Messiah and to encourage them to "Experience The River of Life" by being reconciled with all believers of different gender, race and backgrounds, especially Jews and Gentiles. Effective February 1, 2006, KKSL is being retired by the Federal Communications Commission. Eight years ago, Crawford Broadcasting was given 1640 AM to replace 1290 AM, but sold both stations to ABC/Disney in February of 2003, while retaining the rights to program KKSL until it goes off the air in our community on Tuesday, January 31, 2006. Therefore, most of the programming on KKSL has been merged into the much larger and better sounding 1330 AM. "We are very excited about the merger of KKSL into KKPZ for it will provide our listeners with the best in our unique programming on one station, K-Praise 1330 AM," states Station Manager, James Autry. Autry continues "For the past seven years, I have managed and sold airtime to individuals, churches, ministries and businesses for two stations with up to four formats, 'Charismatic/Pentecostal' & 'Urban Gospel' on KKSL and 'Spirit-Filled' & 'Christian Hispanic' on KKPZ. Now we are blending these formats into one station that will build upon the successes that we have had in our community within each of these audiences, plus it will be much easier to manage and grow for the long-term." Listeners to KKSL 1290 AM only have to "go up to the next station" or "turn
right on their AM dial" to hear their favorite program partner on the new K-Praise 1330
AM, "The Prophetic Voice of Reconciliation!" Some of the broadcast times for
our program partners have changed and a fully updated Program Guide is available
